A note to my fellow aspiring world-conquerors:

At some point, the body you currently inhabit will get old and start to wear out and be no good for conquering anymore. In order to ensure your eternal reign, you will eventually need to figure out how to jump ship and take on a new body. Doing this early on is ideal because you can spend time researching and practicing while at the height of your body’s power, and also letting word get out that you’ve perfected it will demoralize your enemies because it’s just become much more difficult to get rid of you.

There are a couple very important considerations when choosing a new host body. First, make sure it is of your preferred gender. Don’t accidentally make yourself trans when you don’t have to. Transphobia isn’t an issue because you can just kill anyone who offends you, but just as a practical matter, changing a body is hard work. Second, don’t base your decision purely on spite. Spite is an extremely good motivator for many things, but not this. This is a body you’ll probably have for a few decades at least, possibly a few centuries with the right species. Whoever you want to piss off, you can be sure you’ll outlive them no matter what, and in time you can think of much more creative ways to devastate them without having consequences for yourself. And lastly, take some time to rest afterward. Go somewhere safe and far away from your enemies for a little while and get used to how your new body works, so you’re at full strength when you come back to face them.

Don’t make the same mistakes I did. I once stole a body just because its previous owner was friends with this annoying girl I couldn’t get rid of, and I ended up as a fairly young male copper dragon when ideally I would have wanted to be an adult female blue dragon. I then went to fight the rest of that annoying girl’s friends (along with an entire army of Solamnic Knights) while magically exhausted. This was a bad idea. If you do this, you will be stabbed to death with your own magic sword and wake up in a different universe and eight years later you will write a post about not making the same mistakes you did, and I would strongly recommend not putting yourself in that situation.
